My name is Rachel Tettleton, and I have a B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Mississippi. My interests lie primarily in Information and Computer Security.
A less-than-brief Introduction
My love of computers started as a kid playing on my dad’s Windows ’98 PC and watching him rebuild machines at home regularly. In 2011 I started college at Ole Miss but it wasn’t until I took an introductory course in computer programming that I realized how much I enjoyed coding.
After graduating, I needed to take some time to recover from the burnout and the loss of my older sister in 2016. My family provided a structured environment and job at their new wood fired pizza place for me heal one day at a time. Unfortunately, this has created a “gap” in my work experience because I didn’t seek out a traditional entry-level tech position immediately after I graduated; however, the years I have spent there were far from wasted.
These days I spend every moment of my spare time outside of work studying and practicing current methods used in computer security. I hope to find a low-level I.T. job as a way to expand the knowledge I have gained so far with the experience I need.
If you are looking for someone like me for your business / company / team, don’t hesitate to email me.
If you’ve read this far, thank you.
